Sale of BEC Standards

As from September 15 (2008) some changes will take place in the sale of BEC Standards. The sales department of NBN will no longer be in charge of the sale of standards belonging to the following series:
NBN EN 55000, NBN EN 60000, NBN EN 61000, NBN EN 62000, NBN EN 80000, NBN EN 100000 and NBN HD.
We therefore kindly ask you to order standards from these series directly through the “shopping basket” on the site of the Belgian Electrotechnical Committee (BEC), of which the address is:

However, the corresponding IEC standards will still be on sale from our Foreign standards department (buitenlandse.normen@nbn.be).

Two different sales departments

The sales department of NBN is made up of two different services, which each have a specific invoicing procedure.

The “Belgian standards” department handles the orders for Belgian standards and draft standards, European standards and draft standards, as well as European Harmonization documents (HD).

The “Foreign standards” department follows up the orders of German (DIN), French (AFNOR), Dutch (NEN), British (BSI) ... and international standards (ISO and IEC).

We therefore advise our customers to place separate orders for both departments. Moreover, we would like to ask them to always mention their customer number and VAT-number on ordering forms.
