Registration Services
NBN acts as the national registration service for a number of registrations required by ISO International standards. (see also www.iso.org)
Registration means that a registration number or code is attributed for the purpose of identifying companies, persons or products in order to ensure their traceability on an international level. This prevents abuse and allows to establish the identity of the owner in a simple way. Its applications can be very diverse:
The most frequently used registration services apply to:
• issuers of electronic identification cards for toll collection systems, gift cards, bank cards etc.

Identification cards
• IIN (Issuer Identification Number) according to ISO/IEC 7812-2
• RID (Registered application provider IDentifier) according to ISO/IEC 7816-5Road traffic and transport
• VIN & VIS (Vehicle Identification ) according to ISO 3779 en ISO 3880
