A “Guide for referencing standards in public procurement in Europe” was published by the EU Commission and the European standardization organizations CEN in 2019 as the first of its kind. It elaborates on how to reference standards in public procurement made available in the Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the council of 26 February 2014 on public procurement, Art. 42.
During the workshop you will get an insight into the benefits of standards in procurement with practical examples and by working with standards hands on. You will learn how to find and reference standards in public procurement in general. You will also hear news from different speakers on the need for standards and upcoming plans regarding public procurement and referencing of standards.
Use the knowledge gained on this day for creating more innovative, transparent and cost effective plus easier documented contracts in future tenders.
