ISO 41001 Launch Event: Good Facility Management for Efficient Organisations
For today’s facility managers, physical asset managers and real estate managers, standards provide a great framework for organising and optimising their activities. Standards help them ensure their organisation’s compliance and operational efficiency, and assists them in handling evolving technology and competing priorities.
A fairly new professional and operational discipline in business, facility management is growing rapidly around the world. Despite its newness, the concept of facility management has gone through a considerable number of developments in recent years, and it has already shifted from a building-oriented to a service-oriented occupation. As a result, there is still little clarity about the activities, roles & responsibilities that define this discipline. To resolve this, the brand-new standard ‘ISO 41001, Facility management - Management systems - Requirements with guidance for use’ outlines the main requirements and components of facility management. ISO 41001 adopts Annex SL and thus shares the ISO High-Level Structure (HLS) for smooth implementation in the organisation’s management system.
ISO 41001: the launch
Together with PROCOS Group and KPMG, NBN is happy to present the standard to you during the ‘ISO 41001 Launch Event: Good Facility Management for Efficient Organisations’. The event will take place on Tuesday 19 June (12:30-17:30) at the brand-new KPMG office at Brussels Airport.
Jos Duchamps (PROCOS Group) and Daniël Pairon (KPMG) will focus on the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of facility management and link it up to asset management. Tips & tricks for the implementation of the ISO 41001 standard will be discussed as well.
