Water utilities play a crucial role in providing drinking water, wastewater management, and stormwater management, depending on their service area and regulatory requirements. Ensuring water supply requires a variety of activities. Although not all of these are directly visible to users, they're essential in order for the water utility companies to fulfil their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.

Innovative detection and monitoring techniques are being developed – partly thanks to recent technological advances – to quickly identify and address abnormal events. In addition to anticipating incidents such as cyber attacks, water utilities must also respond to the impacts of climate change. These multifaceted activities are critical for the delivery of effective water services. Concrete examples of service levels include: the supply of drinking water in sufficient quantity and quality through user connections; public standpipes or mobile tankers; connection to a public wastewater system for the transport, treatment and safe disposal of collected wastewater; and collection, storage, and safe disposal of stormwater.
Participation in NBN Committees 2025:
640 euros (excluding VAT) for one commission.
530 euros (excluding VAT) for each additional commission.
