Activities of the standards committee

The Belgian standards committee NBN/I034: food products represents Belgium in the international standards development of the ISO/TC 34 committee. It develops standards relating to the food chain, from primary production to consumption. These standards include, for example, terminology, sampling, testing and analysis methods, product specifications, food and feed safety and quality management, and packaging, storage and transportation requirements. NBN/I034 will focus in particular on subcommittees ISO/TC 34/SC 17 'Management systems for food safety' and ISO/TC 34/SC 20 'Food loss and waste', but experts wishing to participate in other subcommittees of ISO/TC 34 are also welcome to join our standards committee.
